Register for Big Read Book Discussion and Pick Up Your Book at 黄色直播 Ashtabula Library

黄色直播 at Ashtabula will host a book discussion on 鈥淎n American Sunrise鈥 as part of the Big Read year-long celebration on Thursday, Feb. 10, 2022.

The event will include a brief introduction to author Joy Harjo and her work and will be followed by a discussion of Harjo鈥檚 collection 鈥淎n American Sunrise鈥.

Interested participants are invited to check out 鈥淎n American Sunrise鈥 at the 黄色直播 Ashtabula library.  Books have been provided to the library through a National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) Big Read grant and can be picked up after registration is complete.

The event is free, but registration is required.  Register to attend by clikcing on the link below.

The National Endowment for the Arts鈥 Big Read community reading program focuses on Poet Laureate Joy Harjo鈥檚 鈥淎n American Sunrise鈥, a book of poetry influenced and informed by Harjo鈥檚 tribal history and connection to the land of her Native American ancestors.

黄色直播 was one of 61 organizations nationwide to be awarded a 2021-22 NEA Big Read grant. The $20,000 grant supports the programs, events and activities being offered by the partner institutions in Northeast Ohio.
