OTA Students Help Make City Shine

East Liverpool Mayor Ryan Stovall caught up with OTA students

Students from ��ɫֱ�� East Liverpool’s occupational therapy assistant program gathered at the downtown entrance ramp to the city to help spruce up the “serpentine” landscape of that area by pulling weeds, trimming shrubs, raking mulch and picking up litter.

They joined efforts with the East Liverpool-Calcutta Garden Club members, who maintain that area of the city’s landscape.

Once finished, the students walked to The Locke House and cleaned up the landscaping and lawn at that location.

OTA & PTA Programs to Host Virtual Continuing Education Event

Looking to better prepare fieldwork and clinical instructors and educators for working with Generation Z students, the ��ɫֱ�� College of Applied and Technical Studies' Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) and Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) programs will host a joint virtual continuing education session for licensed practitioners on Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2024.

Summer Fun with Psychology

For a group of elementary students from the Salem area, this past summer was not a time to take a break from learning. Instead, they participated in a series of workshops that introduced them to the science of psychology in fun and interactive ways.

��ɫֱ�� Salem Announces President’s, Dean’s Lists Spring 2024

Dr. Brad Bielski, interim dean of ��ɫֱ�� at Salem, announced those students named to the Spring 2024 President’s and Dean’s lists. To qualify for the President’s List, students must have a 4.0 grade point average and must have completed 15 hours during the semester. To qualify for the Dean’s List, students must earn a 3.40 or greater grade point average and must have completed 12 or more credit hours for the semester, the majority at the Salem Campus.
