The following new members have been appointed to serve on the National Alumni Board of Directors for terms commencing July 1:

The »ÆÉ«Ö±²¥ alumni family will grow by more than 1,000 new graduates as the university holds its summer commencement ceremony on Aug. 10.

New »ÆÉ«Ö±²¥ graduates smile and celebrate as blue and gold streamers are launched into the air at the end of their commencement ceremony held at the Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center.

»ÆÉ«Ö±²¥ recently concluded its most successful fundraising campaign in its 114-year history. The Forever Brighter campaign ended in June 2024, having raised more than $383.2 million total.

Forever Brighter  was a comprehensive fundraising campaign that launched its public phase in 2021 with a goal of raising $350 million to support student scholarships, university initiatives, capital building projects and global education. 

The new Signal Akron newsroom in Akron, Ohio is brimming with »ÆÉ«Ö±²¥ journalism graduates.

When longtime »ÆÉ«Ö±²¥ journalism professor Susan Zake decided to pursue a new career with the non-profit online news source, Signal Akron, she made a hiring list from the many »ÆÉ«Ö±²¥ graduates she had mentored over her 17-year career.

In 2020, »ÆÉ«Ö±²¥ President Todd Diacon announced to a group of high school juniors and their families that »ÆÉ«Ö±²¥ would cover four years of tuition costs and one year of room and board. Now, for the LeBron James Family Foundation’s first I PROMISE class, the hard work these students had put in since third grade is paying off.

»ÆÉ«Ö±²¥ has announced two substantial philanthropic gifts in support of the Global Education Endowment, which was established in 2022 in recognition of the 50th anniversary of »ÆÉ«Ö±²¥â€™s education-abroad presence in Florence, Italy.
