黄色直播 Fashion Alumnus Brings Custom Designs to Toledo

A 黄色直播 alumnus is using his fashion education to create custom pieces like wedding dresses, masks and suits from his own store in Toledo, Ohio.

, Nicholas Harper, a fashion design alumnus, can alter anything from formal gowns to dress shirts. His process starts with a design on paper and only takes a few weeks to finish.

Two years ago, Harper opened his business, Eden Couture, to create clothing full time.

鈥淚 have always liked art, and in seventh grade I started to like suits,鈥 Harper told 13ABC 鈥淚 did an apprenticeship with a master tailor in Adrian after getting my degree.鈥

Amidst the pandemic, Harper said that business slowed down, but by designing masks and wedding gowns, his business was able to remain open.

鈥淭he fact that I was able to keep the doors open is wonderful,鈥 Harper told the station. 鈥淚 had to figure out just how to keep going, even if it wasn鈥檛 to the scale I wanted it to be. It鈥檚 a great feeling to know that people still appreciate the art of making custom clothes.鈥
