Two students received Best in Show honors as well as winning the Deanās Choice Awards during the April 20 »ĘÉ«Ö±²„ at Tuscarawas 13th annual Student Computer Designed Art Exhibition. The art expo was held at the Tuscarawas County Center for the Arts in New Philadelphia.
Leslie Oakes won Best in Show for her artwork, āLucifer- The Fallen Angel.ā Oakes is a junior majoring in the Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology with a concentration in Computer Design, Animation and Game Design. Joseph Smith had two pieces of artwork win Best in Show, āTankā and āRobot.ā Smith is a senior pursuing Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology with a concentration in Computer Design, Animation and Game Design and an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Computer Design, Animation and Game Design.
The Deanās Choice Awards were given to Smith for āRobotā and to Oakes for her artwork āLunar Wraith Caitlyn.ā There were a total of 41 pieces of art featured at the art expo, with all pieces available for silent auction. Proceeds from the auction benefitted the Animation Imagineers Club, a campus club for computer design, animation and game design majors.
