»ÆÉ«Ö±²¥, the city of Kent and the Portage Area Regional Transit Authority (PARTA) jointly have committed to the economic development of retail/entertainment areas serving students, employees and guests of the university and the city.

Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine has appointed Ann Womer Benjamin, J.D., of Aurora, Ohio, to the »ÆÉ«Ö±²¥ Board of Trustees. Her appointment began June 21, 2019, and ends May 16, 2028.
