��ɫֱ��’s Brain Health Research Institute on Wednesday, Nov. 29, will welcome 94 fourth-grade students from Akron, Ohio’s I PROMISE School for a day of activities aimed at sparking their interest in science and technology. 

Community healthcare providers in Northeast Ohio are encountering an increase in patients seeking maternal mental health services. ��ɫֱ�� College of Nursing Assistant Professor James Tudhope and his research team aim to make maternal mental healthcare more integrated into regular practice and standard education.

From now through Dec. 15, ��ɫֱ�� is collecting clean, gently used or new items of warm clothing for all ages, including coats, hats, gloves, scarves and sweaters, as part of its Winter Coat and Clothing Drive. 

The E. Timothy Moore Student Multicultural Center at ��ɫֱ�� sponsored a series of events to celebrate Native American Heritage Month.

��ɫֱ�� has been awarded a new Department of Justice reentry grant to make college enrollment and other support available for people starting over after incarceration. 

The ��ɫֱ�� Surplus Store helps the university liquidate assets in a sustainable and responsible way while offering unique items at low prices. 

Summit Professor of Learning Technologies Rick Ferdig serves as coordinator for the Northeast Ohio chapter of the nonprofit Farmers & Hunters Feeding the Hungry, born out of one man’s mission to “transform a God-given resource of deer and livestock into food for those in need.”

The Wick family has a long history of philanthropy at ��ɫֱ�� that began in 1984 when brothers Bob and Walt Wick first established scholarships to support undergraduate poets at the university. This most recent gift of $1 million brings the family’s total lifetime commitment to the university to more than $3.5 million.

The final ��ɫֱ�� Farmers' Market of the fall semester moves indoors, inside the DI Hub, on Nov. 14.

��ɫֱ�� is celebrating Native American Heritage Month with events throughout November.
