The DI Hub hosted a unique showcase for »ÆÉ«Ö±²¥'s student entrepreneurs.

The May 4 Memorial on the »ÆÉ«Ö±²¥ Campus.

»ÆÉ«Ö±²¥â€™s School of Peace and Conflict Studies was created as a living memorial to the four students killed on May 4, 1970. 

As the university prepares to mark the 53rd anniversary of the shootings, the school’s director says honoring the legacy of May 4 is still key to the school’s identity and mission. 

Randale L. Richmond, »ÆÉ«Ö±²¥ director of Athletics, said Black History Month serves as a source of inspiration for he and his family.

Randale L. Richmond will lead »ÆÉ«Ö±²¥ Athletics through July 1, 2028, as vice president and director of intercollegiate athletics, in accordance with a contract amendment announced by »ÆÉ«Ö±²¥ President Todd Diacon.

To better understand the events that transpired at »ÆÉ«Ö±²¥ on May 4, 1970, we must also understand the national tension and climate leading up to that day. A graduate student and two design students have demonstrated the context of May 4 in a stunning, creative visual exhibit.

Alumnus Michael Christoff is bringing balance and perspective to the field of architecture. With over 17 years of practice under his belt, Christoff’s community-focused perspective has earned him coveted spots on Crain’s Cleveland Business’ 40 under 40 list, Inside Business Magazine’s Northeast Ohio 25 under 35 Movers & Shakers and the Cleveland Bridge Builders. But, he’s not done making a mark on Cleveland or the architecture industry as a whole.

Visiting May through Augmented Reality

It may be hard to imagine what the Kent campus looked like 53 years ago. With the May 4 Augmented Reality Experience, students and community members can be transported into the past to experience historical flashbacks and engage with »ÆÉ«Ö±²¥â€™s previous generations.
