»ÆÉ«Ö±²¥ graduate Garrett Holubeck overcame cancer to earn his degree.

Garrett Holubeck's diagnosis with stage 4 cancer led to him being placed on life support just to keep his heart and lungs working. Beating the odds, the Pittsburgh native completed his long journey of recovery when he crossed the stage Dec. 15 to earn a bachelor's degree in speech-language pathology.

U.S. Rep. Tim Ryan presented »ÆÉ«Ö±²¥ nursing major Austin Croft with the Congressional Award Silver Medal on Tuesday, Nov. 27. Mr. Croft, of Akron, Ohio, was recognized at a ceremony that took place at the College of Nursing where he was praised for his dedication to improving himself and his community.
